Kathy's Tea Cakes

cup butter, softened
1½
cups sugar
3
eggs
1 tablespoon
Pure Vanilla Extract
3 cups
flour
1 tablespoon
baking powder
¼ teaspoon
salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F ... 190°C
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture (the dough will be soft).
- Drop by
teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake for 7-8
minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Remove to wire racks to
cool.
This should make 8 or 9 dozen tea cakes.
